六、内容简介:

Hydrogen energy is considered a clean, abundantly available fuel with high energy density. One of the most significant hydrogen conversion systems is water electrolysis, which has been widely implemented to generate hydrogen from earth-abundant water. Developing novel electrocatalysts with low cost and excellent performance becomes a key focus in research, which can promote the progress of next-generation electrochemical energy conversion techniques. This talk will focus on improving the catalytic performance of electrocatalysts by using surface modifications based on the laser irradiation technique. Two kinds of surface modification approaches, vacancy engineering, and heteroatom doping are carried out by laser irradiation to manipulate the active sites of the electrocatalysts in novel, facile, and efficient manners.

七、主讲人简介:

黄一中,新加坡南洋理工大学终身教授,材料微观组织结构表征领域国际著名专家学者。主要从事新型纳米功能材料(纳米薄膜、核-壳结构材料、有序纳米阵列材料和纳米高熵合金等)、纳米器件(生物传感器、气体传感器)以及材料在微/纳米尺度失效等方面的研究,擅长采用聚焦离子束显微镜(FIB)和高分辨透射电镜(HRTEM)等先进设备表征研究纳米结构材料。近期工作集中在电化学能源转化和存储技术研发及商业转化尝试。
