六、内容简介：
ArtificialIntelligence has emerged in the last decade as a very active research area inEarth Observation data analysis, and AI algorithms are starting to be deployedin space, directly on board of spaceborne platforms. This talk will present thelatest trends on AI algorithm implementation for space-related data analysis,including cross-fertilization between Quantum Computing and AI in the area ofEarth Observation. The talk will highlight the role of universities versusspace agencies, research institutes, and scientific societies, and cover someof the latest trends in Artificial Intelligence and New Space technologies.
七、主讲人简介：
Paolo Gamba isProfessor at the University of Pavia, Italy in the Telecommunications andRemote Sensing Laboratory. He received the Laurea degree in ElectronicEngineering “cum laude” from the University of Pavia, Italy, in 1989, and thePh.D. in Electronic Engineering from the same University in 1993. He served asEditor-in-Chief of the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters from 2009 to2013 and of the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Magazine in 2023-2024. Hehas been elected in the GRSS AdCom from 2014 to 2022 and served as GRSSPresident from 2019 to 2020. He also served as Technical Co-Chair of the 2010,2015 and 2020 IGARSS conferences, in Honolulu (Hawaii), Milan (Italy), andon-line, respectively. He is currently the Chair of the DistinguishedLecturers’ Program by GRSS. He is Fellow of IEEE, IAPR, AAIA and the AcademiaEuropaea. He has been invited to give keynote lectures and tutorials on severaloccasions about urban remote sensing, data fusion, EO data for physicalexposure and risk management. He published more than 250 papers ininternational peer-review journals.
