六、内容简介：

Weconsider higher-order unfitted finite element methods on Cartesian meshes withhanging nodes for elliptic interface problems, which release the work ofbody-fitted mesh generation and allow us to design adaptive finite elementmethods for solving curved geometric singularities. We will review the resultsfor two-dimensional problems and introduce a new high order unfitted finiteelement method in three-dimension that improves the numerical stability ofhigh-order unfitted finite element methods on arbitrarily shaped smoothdomains. This talk is based on joint works with Ke Li, Yong Liu, Maohui Liu andXueshuang Xiang.

七、主讲人简介：

陈志明，中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院研究员。主要研究领域为数值分析与科学计算。曾获冯康科学计算奖、国家自然科学奖二等奖、中国数学会“陈省身数学奖”。2006年国际数学家大会和2027年国际工业与应用数学大会邀请报告人。2017年当选中国科学院院士。
