  六、内容简介:

Physics in confined geometries is one of the most active areas of research in Solid State and Materials Physics. The extensive activity in this field is driven by physical length scales being close to structural sizes, which can be controlled using modern fabrication techniques. The emergence of unexpected properties in two-dimensional materials, interfaces, and nanostructured materials opens an exciting framework for exploring new devices and applications. In addition, several applications in electronics and photonics, information storage, emerging quantum technologies, communications, and sensors have moved basic research results into the application area in a very short period. I will present various interesting results when materials are confined into small dimensions in close physical proximity (“hybrids”). Interesting and unusual phenomena can be engineered into hybrid devices with geometrically induced effects, which additionally can be highly tuned to achieve exciting properties in novel quantum and optoelectronic devices.

  七、嘉宾简介:

Prof. David Perez de Lara is a foreign expert selected under the "QM plan" of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of China and the leader of the Zhejiang Provincial Leadership Innovation and Entrepreneurship Team, working on condensed matter physics of two-dimensional materials and photovoltaic devices, and received his Ph.D. degree in Condensed Matter Physics from the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) in 2003. He has been a researcher at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESRTC), a Marie Curie researcher at the European Network of Superconducting Detectors of the Italian National Research Council (CNRS), a postdoctoral researcher at the European Research and Training Network (ERTN) DEQUACs, an Associate Professor at the Comptons University of Madrid (UCM) and a research scientist at the Institute of Nanosciences of the Centro de Investigaciones Superiores (CIM) of Madrid (CIM), and was awarded a grant in 2019 by the Spanish Ministry of National Science Innovation and Universities (MISIU) and National Research Agency (I3 Programme) with the distinction of Distinguished Researcher, has published more than 50 papers in SCI journals such as Nature partner journals, Advanced Materials, Physical Review B, etc., and has been leading 16 important research projects such as the EU Framework Fund and the Marie Curie Fund.
