六、内容简介：

Nature's highly flexible systems inspire robotic design. To replicate animals' motion advantages, we studied biological motion at the biomechanical level and applied the findings to develop intelligent biomimetic robots with adaptability, flexibility, and energy efficiency. In this talk, I will introduce our snake-like robots, present key research outcomes, and showcase innovative designs of environment-adaptive robots for various applications.

七、主讲人简介：

Professor Shugen Ma (IEEE Fellow, AAIA Fellow, JSME Fellow, Foreign Fellow of EAJ) received Ph.D. from Tokyo Institute of Technology. He is currently a professor at HKUST (Guangzhou), previously holding positions at Ritsumeikan University, Johns Hopkins University, and several leading institutions in China. His research focuses on environment-adaptive robots, amphibious robots, field robotics, and bio-inspired robotics. Prof. Ma has published over 500 papers, developed more than 50 robot systems with 80+ patents. He served as General Chair of IROS 2022 and founded the ROBIO conference.
