The 6th International Workshop on Advanced Computational Intelligence and Intelligent Informatics (IWACIII) was held at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in Chengdu, Sichuan province from Nov 1 to 5.
The event, co-organized by the School of Automation Engineering of UESTC and the State Key Laboratory of Intelligent Control and Decision of Complex Systems of Beijing Institute of Technology, drew more than 30 universities and research institutes, including Tokyo Institute of Technology, Technical University of Košice, and China University of Geosciences, as well as 100 business representatives from around the world.
IWACIII is an international conference that provides a forum for scientists and engineers over the world to present their own theoretical results and techniques in the field of computational intelligence and intelligent informatics.
This year's event included four keynote speeches, three invited speeches, and 15 thematic forums. More than 90 papers were shared and vigorously discussed at the thematic forums, covering several academic fields like computational intelligence, control theory and application, data fusion and mining, as well as robotics.
The participants said that the event broadened their horizons and that they gained valuable academic experience from it. They were also deeply impressed by the strong academic atmosphere of the University of Electronic Science and Technology.
