　　六、内容简介：

　　In this talk, we shall present a local multigrid algorithm for solving the linear algebraic systems arising from the adaptive continuous and discontinuous finite element methods. The abstract Schwarz theory is applied to analyze the multigrid method with Jacobi or Gauss-Seidel smoother performed on local nodes on each level. It is shown that the local multigrid method is optimal, which means that the convergence rate is independent of the mesh size and mesh level.

　　七、主讲人简介：

　　许学军，同济大学数学科学学院教授、院长。曾任中国计算数学学会常务理事、秘书长。国家973项目小组负责人、中国数学会理事、中国工业和应用数学会理事、国家杰出青年基金获得者。2001年获德国洪堡奖学基金，并于2002年-2003年在德国进行合作研究。曾获中科院优秀博士后称号、中国数学会钟家庆数学奖、中科院数学与系统科学研究院十大重大科研进展奖（2007）和中科院数学与系统科学研究院突出科研成果奖（2008）。先后在国际一流专业学术期刊上发表论文60余篇。
