  本次“学术沙龙”活动人力资源部教师发展中心邀请美国威奇塔州立大学(Wichita State University)倪睿副教授,与我校师生做学术分享。活动安排如下,欢迎广大师生参加。

  六、内容简介:

  Although the increased accident risks for older drivers could result partly from poor driving habits or cognitive slowing, it has been shown that age-related deficits in visual functions are important contributing factors. A great body of research has demonstrated age-related declines in visual functions among healthy older adults that are independent of age-related changes in optics and eye disease. These age-related declines linked to driving safety have been found across a variety of visual functions including contrast sensitivity (CS), visual acuity, form perception, depth and distance perception, motion perception, the useful field of view (UFOV), and locomotion perception. One promising intervention that has been shown to slow down or reverse age-related declines in vision arises from recent research in neural plasticity in the adult brain. However, it is not clear yet how training-induced improvements could transfer or generalize to untrained tasks and conditions. The current presentation will focus on the transfer effects of perceptual learning training among different visual tasks at different levels, will extend to improve driving-related visual functions, more importantly aims at producing performance improvements in a variety of driving tasks.

  七、主讲人简介:

  倪睿,美国威奇塔州立大学(Wichita State University, Wichita, Kansas)副教授(终身),人因学(human factors) 博士专业负责人,参与3个实验室研究:视觉感知和认知实验室、虚拟现实实验室、驾驶模拟研究中心。主要研究人类在三维动态的环境中(真实或者虚拟)如何对外部环境进行视觉信息处理(包括运动,深度,物体等感知和认知),并且在日常行为中(例如驾驶和运动)如何应用这些信息实现安全且高效的完成目标任务。环境因素(例如可见度)、人的因素(老龄化、分神等)如何对这些日常行为产生影响,如何应用干预手段(训练、学习等)提高安全性和生活质量。近年在Nature Communication等顶级学术期刊发表多篇文章,并于去年获得一项金额为180万美元的NIH项目资助,用于研究老龄化的神经可塑性问题。
