  自动化工程学院举办的“自动化论坛”本期邀请加拿大工程院院士、加拿大康考迪亚大学终身教授Muthukumaran Packirisamy来校作学术交流。讲座具体安排如下,欢迎广大师生参加!

  五、主讲人简介:

  Muthukumaran Packirisamy现为加拿大康考迪亚大学终身教授,机械与工业工程系光学生物微系统研究主席、微纳米生物集成中心主任、光学生物微系统实验室主任。在微纳米、光学系统领域研究成绩突出,发表专著1篇,授权专利8项,发表文章350余篇,所获项目总经费超过1000万美元,现在为加拿大三大顶级研究院之二的院士(会员):加拿大工程院院士、加拿大皇家学会会员。他还是国际顶级学会ASME(美国机械工程师学会)和CSME(加拿大机械工程学会)的Fellow。

  六、内容简介:

  The necessity for increased level of integration with Lab-On-a-Chip(LOC) devices have been growing for enhancing performance, functionalities, and packaging. As the fully integrated devices favors portability and disposability they would be useful for in-situ biomedical diagnosis, Point-of-Care testing and energy harvesting applications. This work will present the integration of some novel technologies such as the microphotonics, microfluidics, nano elements with microsystems for various applications including energy harvesting from photosynthesis. The talk would cover many examples and integration techniques such as hybrid and monolithic. In this work, a microfluidic Lab-on-a-Chip device on silicon platform hybrid and monolithically integrated with Echelle grating based Spectrometer-on-Chip will be presented along with results. The talk will also cover many examples on micro-nano integration along with case studies in energy harvesting, physical sensing, chemical sensing, bio diagnosis and wearable devices.
